BURGESS HILL, United Kingdom, November 5, 2009 – Ringdale has released an enhanced version of its FollowMe® Embedded Hybrid solution for Xerox multifunction printers (MFPs). FollowMe Embedded Hybrid is an integrated version of FollowMe Printing, the industry standard secure document output management solution that provides complete control and accounting capabilities for copying, printing, emailing, faxing and scanning on Xerox MFPs.
Ringdale's FollowMe provides organizations an all-in-one solution composed of FollowMe Printing (pull printing), print roaming and print accounting. FollowMe enables organizations to control access to documents as well as control and manage user activity. Through its superior business intelligence engine, which offers policy and rules-based printing functionality, FollowMe enables organizations to demonstrate "green savings" by controlling their color output and enforcing other printing policies such as duplex.
Using an embedded front panel on Xerox MFPs, FollowMe Embedded Hybrid for Xerox users can walk up to any networked device and securely release their print jobs utilizing a user-specific PIN or Windows® username and password. A wide range of identification devices can also be used for alternative or dual authentication, such as proximity cards, smart cards, magnetic swipe cards, biometrics via fingerprint readers and barcodes.
